Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a positive performance during the week that ended on 10 August, with the market capital grew by 0.92% or SAR 15.5 billion to SAR 1.694 trillion.
The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) lost 1.12% or 79 points, and closed at the level of 7,146.6 points.
Traded values increased by 14.15% to SAR 15.59 billion compared to SAR 13.65 million by the end of last week, while volumes went up by 25.19% to 727.6 million shares from 581 million shares.
As for the market sectors’ performance, 14 sectors rose this week, led by capital goods with 5.9%, and followed by commercial services with 5.25%.
On the other hand, six market sectors declined, as the media and publishing index decreased by 1.4%, while real estate slipped 0.81%.
Banks rose added 1.4%, while materials and telecom gained 0.6%, and 0.16%, respectively.
The main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market (NOMU) fell by 6.2% or 228.5 points, to the level of 3440.8 points by the end of Thursday’s session.
Traded volumes in the parallel market amounted to 881,000 shares with a total turnover of SAR 22.8 million, compared to SAR 12.9 million and 417,000 shares in the week before.
